Chapter 282 282: Revelation (Part-2)
Rahu spoke, his voice sweet as honey. Ophelia's chuckle echoed behind him as she watched the show amusingly.
Solvane's entire world came crashing down as he heard those words…his entire body trembled as a primordial fear overtook his mind.
"N-NO I-I-I CA—ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!"
Before he could say anything…a soul-destroying spell inside was initiated. Aiming to destroy his soul completely. But of course, how could Rahu allow it?
Rahu snorted and waved his hand…in an instant. The annihilation stopped, and blood dripped from every orifice.
In Rahu's hand, a small grey snake-like creature materialized before vanishing in a puff.
"My suspicions were indeed true…this guy was already in some deep shit before coming here," Rahu spoke, his voice sounding amused.
"Hmm…should I just read his soul?"
It was probably the easiest way, but just now. His soul was almost destroyed due to this unknown creature or…ability.
"Rahu, for now, I suggest we just question him manually. If he doesn't answer…"
Ophelia spoke; the meaning in her words couldn't be any clearer.
"Hm"
Looking at this trembling man below, Rahu's eyes glowed.
"Alright, the rest time is up. Now, start talking before I lose my patience."
Rahu said, his voice low and dangerous.
"I—am from the Nether Plane."
Solvane finally opened his mouth, but the words that rolled off his tongue horrified Ophelia.
"N-Nether Plane!!??"
Ophelia covered her mouth, taking a few steps back. Rahu was surprised to see her creation for a moment.
"Ophelia…do you know something?"
He asked, although from the name and his abilities themselves, he had guessed somewhat about. But Ophelia's reaction was the nail.
"R-Rahu, y-you should be careful! They are among the strongest in the entire Celestial Expanse, even ranking within the top ten! T-This is really dangerous!"
Ophelia said, her body trembling.
The scope of the Celestial Expanse was entirely different from that of the Mortal Plane. Both existentially and fundamentally.
"I…see"
Rahu nodded, but his reaction further scared Ophelia. "Rahu! Y-You are taking this way too lightly! Just as you saw earlier, even a mere apostle's army was so strong! Although I am confident in your strength. But…I am more scared of them. They have several gods governing entire planes! Even one of their commanders can flatten our Mortal Plane…thousand times over."
"Ophelia"
The moment his voice echoed…Ophelia froze. Her gaze dropped on his face…his smile.
"Do you know who is standing in front of you?"
Rahu questioned lazily, his arms still gripping Solvane's neck.
"!!!"
Her mind zapped back to reality, yes. The man standing before her…while being mortal, he dared kill a…God.
Not an apostle or a projection, but a part of the will of a real God!
"Rahu…I-I am sorry, I was just worried about you."
Ophelia lowered her head in shame. Rahu chuckled when he saw this.
"Don't concern yourself with that. It's only natural; no one in the entire Plane can even begin to comprehend the true extent of my abilities. The only thing preventing me from going there is a few silly reasons."
He had said there were no impossible reasons. And yet, he still wished to complete what he had begun, the aspiration of creating a…Supreme Race.
In the grand Celestial Expanse, humans weren't the dominant race. In fact, they were in the middle of the food chain. They were nowhere near the top. The only reason they ranked so highly was because of their cultivation and their…wits.
But…cultivation was, unfortunately for humans, universal. Each and every being could cultivate. And that was exactly what made the top races so terrifying.
Bloodlines and physiques were the predominant factors, alongside cultivation, in deciding the fate of a cultivator and his…strength.
As for his race creation, it was just one of the factors. The other was his…origin.
Even after mastering the Law and reaching the fabled realm of Embodiment, he still couldn't remember or recover any memories from before he was fifteen.
And several other small reasons.
"I will always follow you."
Ophelia nodded with a relieved smile; she was afraid he had misunderstood the meaning of her words.
Slap!
"Bitch, did you come here for tea? Open your darn mouth and continue!"
Rahu slapped Solvane…again and again.
Solvane finally snapped his head as the pain in his body lowered.
"Khk! I-I…was sent as the apostle to the Mortal Plane to gather faith…But I…didn't follow it and struck a deal with one of the other apostles."
The moment his words echoed, Rahu's eyes widened in understanding.
"I see, it all makes sense now. I was looking at it wrongly," Rahu nodded repeatedly. But Ophelia looked at him confusedly.
"Rahu? I didn't get it?"
"The original Apostle of the Holy Sun, the real Solvane. This guy…took over him and got the Holy Sun Flame."
But soon, he was once again confused.
"But the real Solvane shouldn't be able to summon such an army? Was Solvane truly the apostle, or was there someone else?"
"T-That… I had summoned the other Apostle. He was the strongest and held the highest authority. But while crossing the portal, I silently installed a Soul Siphoning array. This caused him to lose most of his power… while still retaining the authority granted by the god."
He spoke in a broken voice, and his entire body trembled violently.
"Oh?"
Rahu raised his brow when he heard this. Now, this was a twist worthy of his surprise.
"No way…so much had happened all while I was still in my sect? Wait!! What happened to The Empress!"
Ophelia snapped her head towards Solvane and questioned. Hearing her words, he trembled further.
"Her cultivation is sealed, and she is in the basement of the castle."
He admitted, Ophelia sighed in relief when she heard that. But she couldn't help but wonder, "How did he defeat her without causing a single wave or commotion?"
"H-Her husband, b-betrayed her."
"Ohh, no wonder. How could that woman go down without a fight?" Ophelia nodded in understanding.
"Hmm? Is the empress still alive? That's wonderful, let's go and rescues her, my love!"
Rahu spoke with a smile. A vein popped on Ophelia's forehead when she saw the excitement in his eyes. She turned her head and pouted!
