Chapter 374: Essence Upper Embryo, Soul Body Condensation

At this moment, Yang Chan recalled certain records about the area between the eyebrows.

There was a special Acupoint at a very precise point between the eyebrows.

All of the body’s blood, marrow, and Essence Qi would pass through this point.

And now, that peculiar power was attracting his blood, marrow, Essence Qi, Power, and Spirit, drawing them all toward the spot between his eyebrows as if to coalesce them into something new.

The Soul Body that emerged was still connected to his physical body, but it floated half a body’s length above it. Looking down, he could see his own handsome face and powerful physique.

His body had undergone multiple rounds of Tempering, and its proportions were outstanding—one could even say it matched the golden ratio. This was part of the process of the body gradually approaching perfection during Martial Arts Cultivation.

’I never thought I would open the Essence Upper Embryo.’

The moment his Soul Body flew out, Yang Chan understood many things. Part of this understanding came from information transmitted from the Profound Yin Hanging Bead.

The human body’s many Acupoints each have different functions and possess all sorts of incredible abilities.

The ancestral Acupoint between the eyebrows is one such Acupoint, also known as the Essence Upper Embryo.

It is the crucial link between the physical body and the soul. When one’s Spiritual Power cultivation reaches a certain Realm, this Acupoint can be opened.

The process of breaking it open is called Opening Divine Acupoints, which is also what the Black Dragon referred to as Refining Divine Acupoints. The conditions for opening this Acupoint are exceptionally unique.

Originally, although Yang Chan’s Spiritual Power was strong, he was still some way off from opening the Essence Upper Embryo. However, when the Profound Yin Hanging Bead was absorbing the Black Dragon’s power, Yang Chan’s forceful attempt to separate it from the Taiyin Order instead caused that power to surge into his body.

In the process, Yang Chan absorbed the Black Dragon’s Divine Power. Unable to be refined, this Divine Power continuously gathered between his eyebrows until, at a certain moment, it shattered the barrier.

Once this process concluded, Yang Chan had successfully opened the ancestral Acupoint between his eyebrows—the Essence Upper Embryo.

In a sense, Yang Chan had already stepped into the Realm of Refining Divine Acupoints. It was just that the power of this Divine Acupoint didn’t enhance his strength, but rather condensed his Soul Body, which was his current state.

The world seen through the eyes of the Soul Body is different from the world seen through the physical body’s eyes. This is a manifestation of Spiritual Power cultivated to its peak—a concentration of power that is exceedingly formidable.

In a fight, he could launch a sudden sneak attack with a Hidden Weapon. If the opponent was unprepared, it could end the battle instantly.

The power of the Soul Body was far stealthier than power wielded by the physical body. Because it was formless and intangible, it was virtually impossible to defend against.

Of course, when Spiritual Power is cultivated to its absolute peak, one’s physical Combat Power is usually not far behind. However, Yang Chan’s situation was different.

His Essence Upper Embryo was opened with the help of the Black Dragon’s Divine Power and the special power within the Profound Yin Mala. Although his Spiritual Power had increased during the process, it had not yet reached the point of ultimate transformation.

But now that it was condensed, it could in turn nourish his physical body.

It was as if, under normal circumstances, physical body Tempering and the progress of one’s Cultivation Technique were complementary, improving together.
